‘Reflecting over the past week, I’ve been pondering on the possibilities of what I could have changed,’ Kuldeep Yadav shares his thoughts on the World Cup final defeat.

Last Thursday was Kuldeep Yadav‘s 29th birthday (December 14). The Indian Chinaman bowler gave himself a great present on this momentous day as he quickly claimed five wickets in the third Twenty20 match against South Africa. In just 2.5 overs, Kuldeep scored just 17 runs while removing five South African batsmen and sending them back to the pavilion.

Even though Kuldeep gave an excellent performance, he wasn’t happy with himself. After the game, Captain Suryakumar Yadav said, “He’s never happy.” He never stops eating. He treated himself to a nice birthday present with this one.”

In T20 Internationals, this was Kuldeep Yadav’s second five-wicket performance. The Indian Chinaman bowler had previously accomplished this in a Manchester T20 encounter against England in 2018, taking five wickets for twenty-four runs. He has already repeated this feat in a Twenty20 encounter against South Africa, claiming five wickets.

India dominated South Africa in their third Twenty20 match. Team India scored 201 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs while batting first. With seven fours and eight sixes in his century of 100 runs off 56 balls, captain Suryakumar Yadav produced the greatest innings. Yashasvi Jaiswal, who opened the innings, also made a contribution of 60 runs, including three sixes and six fours.

India won by 106 runs after South Africa was bowled out for 95 runs while chasing the target by the Indian bowlers. For India, Kuldeep Yadav collected five wickets, while Ravindra Jadeja claimed two. Avesh Khan and Mukesh Kumar both took one wicket in the meanwhile.
